Principal Quality Operations Specialist

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
– Understand the Contract Quality requirements.
– Understand the Quality requirements that apply to the subcontractor(s).
– Establish and implement a project-specific ‘Construction Quality Plan’ and ITPs (when required) and ensure compliance within the Construction quality management requirements.
– Act as the focal point for construction/installation quality issues and their resolutions.
– Identify quality control activities and documentation required as per the project specifications and review subcontractor QA/QC plans, procedures, documents (forms) and ensure compliance.
– Monitor site activities to ensure conformance with Applicable Codes, Standards, Policies, Procedures, Drawings and Specific Contract Requirements.
– Manage QC activities with Construction/Installation and Subcontractor personnel to ensure all contract requirements are met.
– Ensure sufficient capacity for QC / inspection personnel required for site quality management.
– Assist in preparation for monthly/biweekly progress report for quality matters.
– Oversee subcontractor to ensure they are working to their QA/QC responsibilities and obligations.
– Manage and conduct internal and external audits of project activities according to the audit schedule where needed.
– Ensure Inspection and NCR/CAR logs are developed and maintained.
– Collect Lessons Learned (LLs) from construction activities, review & consolidate in the LLs register within the site QMS to be utilized for sharing with future projects.
– Carry out QC activities e.g. surveillance, formal inspections etc. of construction works and sign-off relevant reports or checklists as required by ITPs.
– Ensure verification activities are satisfactorily completed prior to products or part thereof are turned over to the client.
