Key Tasks and Responsibilities
– Be accountable to both Project and Engineering Management as well as the Departmental Manager
– Coordinate the required flow of design information between disciplines
– Ensure the quality and technical integrity of the instrument and control design including:- Defining the control and instrument philosophy including the technologies used
– Checking and approving of all types of design and requisitioning documentation
– Coordinating and liaising with third parties including vendors and clients
– Review, checking and approval of third-party supplier drawings and documentation for all types of instrumentation and control system equipment
– Participate in Safety reviews including HAZOPS and SIL/LOPA meetings for SIS and HIPPS scopes
– Preparation and review of Instrument specifications, and other miscellaneous Instrument documents
– Review of ICSS systems and cabinet design, including FAT/IFAT where necessary
– Hardware/Software typical development
– Preparation of ICSS IO estimates for HW/SW freeze preparation
– Preparation/Review of Cause and Effects
– Prepare execution plans and estimates for proposals
