Planner

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
– Respond to the requirements of the project under the direction of the Lead Planning Engineer
– Prepare programmes in accordance with the strategic requirements of the project
– Incorporate interface requirements between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Fabrication,
– Installation, Commissioning as appropriate into project programmes.
– Attend regular progress meetings
– Collect and/or update information, checking its accuracy where necessary and incorporating it into programmes.
– To analyze feedback from Lead Engineers and update programmes, highlighting adverse situations and seeking possible solutions.
– Prepare planning information for reports
– Incorporate changes to the scope of work into programmes, histograms, and progress curves
– Establish effective working relationships with appropriate project staff to assist in provision of timely and accurate programme, interface, and update information
– Liaise with Cost Engineer
– Under supervision perform routine aspects of planning & scheduling.
– Applies a basic knowledge of Project Controls principles.
– Performs specific portions of planning & scheduling assignments.
– Be familiar with planning & scheduling best practices and company standards.
– Under supervision be able to prepare partial logic network schedules on any type of project (Basic E, E, P, EP, EPC, EPFCPMC, Multi-office).
– Under supervision, be able to setup and use physical progress measurement based on earned value principles, using the company standards.
– Under supervision, be able to prepare and explain an effective Critical Path schedule, including the use of all associated information.
– Under supervision, begin to understand how to analyze the schedule, manpower and progress data, and to communicate to management the findings.
– Assist with producing the internal and client progress reports.
– Be able to assist in performing a Monte Carlo schedule analysis, using the company tools.
